ok this is a short comic that I did a while ago to one of my friends.. The story isn't really good, and the artwork sucks.. I know.. But well.. Since I haven't ever upload a strip (not even in my old account), I guess i can give it a try.. The dialogs are in spanish (believe it or not, i'm a spanish speaker.. So I would translate them here, it goes something like this: 1st panel: I met her in one of those parties where you can lose your self and forget reality. I'd spend a while talking with my friends, until I saw her in the middle of the crowd.. She was the most beautiful thing I'd ever seen. I went to talk with her, and it seems that I did a good impression, since when I went back to my home, I had her number on my pocket. 2nd panel: One day I gather some courage and I called her.. Her voice sounded even more sweet without the loud music.. At thet moment I realized that I wanted to hear that voice for the rest of my life.. Since there on we keep talking by fone, and we get to meet eachother more deeply. Every new thing I learnt about her made me want her even more.. Sometimes I wondered if she was real or only a really beautiful dream... 3rd panel: One day I went to pick her from her job, and asked her to go to walk by the park. 4th panel: She smiled and remained silent for what felt like an eternity... 5th panel: I imagined my self walking alone by the park, regreting have gone so fast.. 6th panel: After some really long minutes of anguish, she accepted and we went togheter to the park.. 7th panel: We swung like to little kids, and we talked about every kind of things.. Since global warming, to our favourite brand of candy... After a while we sat on a bench and we started to talk face to face... Suddenly she go closer to me and kissed me.. It was a sweet kiss, I didin't wanted it to end, and for moment it seemed that it won't.. But after a while we separated and smile. 8th pnael: Then we walk away from the park, holding our hands, smiling happily.. Talking about life and other things.. Knowing that for there on the will never be the same..
//// Well, that's pretty much all.. I told you, the story sucks.. But anyway I hope you don't hate it that much.. Sorry if there are mistakes in the translation.. Have a nice day
Across the globe, 27 million men, women, and children live in some form of slavery. That is more people at this moment than in all the centuries of the Atlantic Slave Trade. Something must be done. This contest serves two purposes: Raising awareness about human trafficking and raising funds for the Not For Sale organization.
Open to all mediums. Deadline is March 10, 2010 @ 11:59pm PST.
